It works

Hornit (or similar siren) is something I find indespenable for riding in traffic. The only problem is that one the trigger mechanism that attaches by wire is delicate and I frequently need to replace it. Also the trigger is a bit small and it may take a precious moment to locate

Third purchase to compensate for failed horn

This is the fourth time I've purchased a Hornit since I started using them in 2016. They seem to last about 2 years before they fail in some way. The last two failed by emitting what seemed like half the number of decibels. It still seems the most compact loud bike horn out there, but I'm not pleased with their track record of failure in the last 7 years.

Questionable...

There seems to be some kind of disconnect between the bike and having a horn. As loud as this thing is I know people hear it but at no point do I get a response... Distance and octave could play a part on this? I commute on a bike trail to and from work. Cars seem more likely to respond than fellow cyclists... Idk but while I do not intend on returning it, I can't say I would recommend it to others considering it's price/effectiveness ratio...
