Haven’t had a chance to shoot yet but I like the feel and fit and finish of the Ruger 8500. It is easy to work the safety and bolt. I think the adjustable stock is perfect for me. I plan on sewing up a cool carry bag (I’m a sailmaker). Have to install a new rear sight and laser to see if I can sight in the rifle before actually going shooting. This is a very good first buy. It’s basic but good quality from the looks and feel. Great first semi-auto for a shooter.
