Have suffered from huge knots in my quads that cause significant patellar tracking problems. Those issues lead to severe quadriceps and patella tendinosis/tendinitis and prepatellar scaring/inflammation. My two sports; skiing and mountain biking had become so painful that I was on the verge of quitting both. PT and Laser would help, but were temporary and time consuming and expensive. After 2-3 weeks with Theragun, using it at home, on my own time I am blown away. I am using it on the muscles, on the tendons and even over the patella. Knots are disappearing. Tendons are more supple. Scarring and inflammation is disappearing. When used before activity, my muscles are warm and loose. My performance is improved. If used right after activity it virtually eliminates post activity pain. I am simply shocked. Best money I have ever spent on ‘remedies’.

Back Story: I bought the theragun to help with pain directly associated with an terrible late in life achilles rupture. The severity of the injury had me non weight bearing for 3 months causes severe atrophy of the many muscles of the L. Foot, Lower/Upper Leg, and Hip. From that time I have been treated by a LMT, and Rehabilitative Movement Coach. One of the tools that he used to help speed my recovery was the Theragun. I would leave each session feeling much better physically and psychologically than I did before the treatment. The psychological boost was a welcomed added benefit that I was not expecting. And, this psychological boost happened with every treatment with the Theragun. Months later when I was able to work on strengthening those atrophied and weakened areas the muscle soreness was pretty epic and persistent. So I decided that I needed to purchase a Theragun of my own. I use it to massage the tired muscles of the leg, foot, and even low back after a good Legs and Hip/Gluteal work out. I have noticed the development of plantar fasciitis of my right foot. This is because my right foot has over compensated for the my injured leg for such a long time. So to make sure that my good leg and foot remains in good shape I give it daily treatments with the Theragun as well. Theragun review: The unit is very well made. It feels good in the hand. It is ascetically pleasing. Comes in a nice looking and sturdy carrying case, along with spare therapeutic tips, charger, and two batteries and a 1 year warranty. It is a bit on the louder side, and it may give off a tool type of smell after prolonged use. So you'd be remiss if you didn't remember that this actually a power tool. Those who enjoy tools won't mind at all. There are knock offs out there touting the same benefits but I wasn't buying. I knew what this unit was capable of, and what it did for me. Cons: 1) Price, and 2) The aluminum name plate on the back of the gun fell off, so I had to super glue back on. Final thoughts: It is a great therapeutic tool that does wonders for me. I use it every day to ensure that my recovery is as expeditious as possible. It is a little pricey but the physical and psychological benefits, along with fit and finish of the is great tool quickly justifies the price. I highly recommend it.
