Great product, disappointing customer service policies

Well, I absolutely loved the Telos 2 tent. It’s ideal! I bought through Sea to Summit direct since it was brand new and only available there. Enter 2 weeks later and REI had it for the anniversary sale, 20% off. They wouldn’t price match and offer no discounts since it’s a new product, so… return, but… 3 days delay in responses, I got the return approved and paid $32 to ship it back, only to have the product run out of stock on REI’s site… so now I’m out $32, no discount, and out a tent. This time, I’m just going to wait for REI to have it back in stock since they have a much better return policy and customer service. Still, A++ job for tent quality and design. I’d purchase again, and plan to. I just feel a little slighted I had to do a little environmental damage shipping that back, losing money, all to end up empty handed, all for the sake of a silly policy that neglects a top tier customer service experience.

Full order review - dry doc cases, water shoe & trail umbrella.

The dry sack that says it's for the iPhone 8 barely fits it inside (without my protective case on) and it's nearly impossible to get out. The larger document case works much better. The water shoes I got are too tight, despite me using the measuring guide and still erring on the side of "probably too large." I was disappointed when it cramped my toes. The umbrella works okay, but I think the day I used it was just generally too hot to be hiking (it was during a heatwave this summer and it was about 109. The end destination was water, but I still do not recommend.) It seemed to create a sort of micro-climate under the umbrella, but I am still planning to use it/test it again before I make up my mind.

Okay Duffel - Overpriced - Not durable

Here are my thoughts after taking this duffel on a 2 week backpacking trip to Europe. The adjustable strap system is nice. Everything else is a pretty normal duffel and I think way overpriced. Could already see heavy wear on the material after checking it with an airline for the first time. In the future I will rather buy an inexpensive, generic one from Amazon which will likely last the same time
