Thank you Malkoff!
100% the best customer service I've received from any company. Have made multiple orders and every time I'm more than satisfied with their bombproof products.
Once you get to know the lego-ability of these lights, there's so many options/selection that you can cover most lighting needs/preferences. Everyone's needs are different, but what Malkoff offers fits mine perfectly.
Been fortunate to use lights from HDS, Elzetta, PEAK, and several other quality brands. That said, I reach for the Malkoff most often and if I had to keep just one, I've narrowed it down to one of the Malkoffs--but of which I'm still deciding.
After lots of research over the years, I've yet to see an anecdote of a faulty Malkoff product. This is unheard of, especially for flashlights. The customer service and friendly replies from Gene and Cathy are both helpful and instill confidence that they care about the product they produce. How many places can you just call the owner on the phone these days? Emails have always been responded to timely--even on the weekend.
As a hobbyist, I enjoy all sorts of lights, but as a user my preference is for reliable, simple, and low output/long runtime. I have some retina-blasters which don't seem to light as well as my lower output Malkoffs, the beam pattern on each has been perfect and maximizes the useable light--still impressed with the throw on my 90 lumen 1AA with an Eneloop. Sometimes less is more.
If you're on the fence, give it a go. Grab an MD2 with hi/low and AA form light for when SHTF and you're set for life. If they aren't for you, you'll have no problem selling. These things are scooped up in days on the secondary market.
Cathy, Gene, and team, thanks once again and best of luck in the future. I never used to be a flashaholic, but you've sure made me one. . .
