The first time I used a Liforme Yoga Mat was at a studio on a short trip to Salzburg, Austria. I'm 67 years-old and I've been practicing Yoga for many years. I thought it would be fun to take a class in another country and in German. What I did not expect was that the Yoga mat I would borrow from the studio would change my practice for the better - forever. I had always struggled in one way or another with whatever mat I had purchased. Either it was light, but not sticky enough, or more resently, it was far too sticky and I'd have to fight it to move. Mats are not cheap, so I would put up with whatever I'd purchased for a couple of years! Then I discovered Liforme in Austria and was relieved to find that I would be able to purchase one online when I returned home to Massachusetts. Which I immediately did and it arrived fast! It was just right - as Little Red Ridinghood would say! - PERFECT! Not too sticky, not too slippery, not too thick, not too thin. I love the markings on the mat to focus my mind and remind me of my form. I love that the mat is only one-sided. I love all the colors, but purchased green for my studio classes and the beautiful white and gold one for the one I keep in my bedroom. It has made my practice immeasurably pleasurable! I can move the way I want to on the Liforme mat while thinking only of the pose or best of all, not thinking much at all. Just breathing.
