Bad then good?

Bought a reconditioned Kickr bike, it didn’t work - shifters would not connect. Instructions also said to only put oedals on with the included washers, but no washers supplied. Sent in a support form, didn’t hear back for a week so reached out by DM on Instagram. Finally got a response, eventually sent me replacement handlebars that worked and washers. To Wahoo’s credit, they made good by also sending a free Headwind fan. I can’t beliieve how much that fan costs ($499!) so would never have bought it myself, but the reviews are very positive so we will see. So overall, made good on an inexcusable lack of quality control.

Connected But NOT

After (several) frustrating hours of attempting to get my Kickr Bike Shift to work, it just won't. On ZWIFT the entire bike (features) shows connected but it does not register power, cadence or speed. About as frustrating as it can get. Well, absolutely maddening considering the money I dropped. Yes, the firmware is up to date.

Unusuable for me. Lots of extra work to set it up with my bike, and still no success

Have not been able to use the trainer. First had to get an XDR freehub that wasn't included to work with my bike. So I paid extra for that. Bu then when tried to install the XDR freehub, the original freehub could not be removed. The locknut has been tightened in factor to an extreme degree, and no wrench can remove it. The design of the locknut is itself very poor; only two tiny flat notches to grip the nut, so wrench just slips. Who has time to deal with all this? Just need to get a work out in. Has been a very frustrating experience overall.

It won’t acquire the gpa

It won’t acquire the gpa signal. Pretty disappointed.

Really poor return policy.

New heart rate monitor died on second use. Wahoo's return policy requires you to pay for shipping the failed equipment back. Because it needs to be insured and tracked that cost almost as much as the useless heart rate monitor. If Wahoo can't or won't stand behind its products and implement a prepaid return policy that indicates it knows its products are below par. Not a good look.
