The Bobo balance trainer arrived with the air donut as part of the kit. It has been really great to use, and I would not purchase the unit without the donut. It allows those with more balanced challenges to be able to gradually increase their stability without fear. The air donut, reduces the speed of the balance perturbations and possible fall off the board. I will be using it in a mobile Physical Therapy home-based practice however, I've been testing it out on my own. I've really enjoyed the training aspects of this as it is really helpful before getting into a game to get used to how the Bobo works. I like the motivational aspect of this as I have used many other types of balance discs and boards with clients in the past with limited participation after more than a minute. It is easy to set up and get started. This does not waste your therapy time and does not produce frustration from the client. The board feels thin, which has its positives and negatives. It is has supported a 225lb man with ease and the lightweight aspect will make it easy to handle it going in and out of homes. We are also going to be using it for Pediatrics so I think it will have a long life. The thin plastic may weaken over time, but only time will tell! There may be a slow leak in the donut, so sending patch materials with the air donut would be very helpful. Overall, I rated it 5 starts for being a good device with wonderful potential at an affordable price point.

This is an amazing interactive tool that I can use for ages 2 to 92 ! the motivational factor multiplies with the use of the games, and we are still discovering more. I like the objectivity of the % scores so that we have baselines and outcomes. This is a most useful clinical tool and home program. D Lund PT OCS NCPT Omak WA
