I bought a replacement RockShox
I bought a replacement RockShox shock for my bike which I was pretty stoked about. The initial order placement seemed to go well but then there was a delay and a phone call that showed a breakdown of internal communication but finally the part was ordered from SRAM with the correct size bushings for my bike (Trek Fuel). I picked up the part yesterday and while the included bushings fit my bike precisely, they DID NOT FIT THE SHOCK. What?!?! They were too large in diameter to fit through the eyes by literally 0.05-07mm. I reached out for help (via email because that's the only way) and got a call from the same service person I had worked with and explained the situation. My expectation was that Bicycle Warehouse would reach out to their vendor (SRAM/RockShox) and explain the situation and insist they make it right. After a lot of back and forth of me making it clear that it wasn't an issue of it not fitting my bike, but that the included parts did not fit the shock, the end result was that he told me I was on my own and hopefully I could press out the DU bushing installed in the shock and use my old bushings because they should fit. I don’t have the exact right tools to press out a bushing but figured out a way to do it properly and was able to finally install my new shock using my old hardware. The biggest disappointment was with the “we can’t help you” attitude I experienced.
