Items like this are the critical ones that nobody (including your parents) ever told you about. It isn't shiny, sexy or anodized red metal. It doesn't have WiFi. I needed this for my newtonian astrograph with the image train that throws off balance not only in weight in RA but in Dec since the mirror isn't heavy enough to balance the camera & filter wheel. I needed another 5lbs to add to the 2. 5lbs this provides but it was just the fix I needed for my 6 inch newtonian astrograph using a EQ6R mount.
