80 Percent Arms

I have used my friends Gen 2 jig in the past and it worked just fine. I think the Gen 3 is easier and quicker to set up. I'm sure it's just the newness of the end mill but it seemed to cut quicker and quieter. My only small complaint is the use of Phillips head screws to mount the top plate. It would be great if it came with hex or even better Torx head screws. I did find some replacement hex head screws. Buy one, you'll like it!

I had borrowed a 80% Arms Gen 1 AR-15 jig from a friend. When I saw the Gen 3 multi-platform jig and the improved production process I was sold and ordered one right away. It arrived on time and in good condition. I have not started my AR-10 project yet but will be happy to write a review when I complete it.

Great jig kit. Just get more then one 80 percent. Your second is better and a lot faster to make
