I purchased this for peace of mind. Tired of sitting through power outages in the dark and then, of course, your phone dies on you and you can't even talk to anyone or find out what is going on!! This to me is a must for everyone to keep beside their first aid kit. Being prepared takes so much stress off that kind of situation happening.
