After purchasing the chukkas of these and lusting after these taller, darker boots, after a pair in my size finally came back into stock, I pulled the trigger. As others have said, these boots are incredibly comfortable from Day 1. But I wanted to share a story… When the boots arrived, I immediately tried them on and could already tell they were perfect (it helped that I already owned a pair of Quoddy boots). And then I laced them up. To my horror, one of the D-ring eyelets popped clean off! After some deeply concerning moments trying to find the wayward metal bit in the rug, I attempted to re-attach and secure the eyelet. No luck (not even close). I inspected several others and they too were loose. This rendered the boots completely inoperable, since they could not be laced up at all with one or more D-ring eyelets flying off (and the subsequent rug scavenger hunt). Needless to say I was beyond dismayed…I’d waited literally months for these to come back in stock, they feel great, but they’re dysfunctional. I started to pack them back up to return to Huckberry (and even thought to myself aha, this is why a pair came back into stock!), but decided to reach out to Quoddy directly. And WOW am I glad I did. A Quoddy customer rep confirmed that it wasn’t a repair I could do myself and sent me a shipping label to send them them the boots. From the time I dropped the boots off at UPS to the time I received the repaired boots back from Quoddy was all of six days. And of course I wasn’t charged a penny. I remain both stunned and grateful that what would’ve been a mini-nightmare turned into a win. Great boots, great customer service.

They are beautiful, soft, good quality leather work gloves that will only get better with use. I love the pistachio green color (olive). Also, their customer service representative, Cole, was a pleasure.

Bought these as a gift for my husband, who loves Whiskey and has a life goal of visiting every National Park. I was astounded by the crazy-fast shipping (1-2 day option arrived a day after my order was placed and was not exorbitantly expensive!). The quality is very nice and the glass isn’t so thin we fear breaking them. Highly recommend!
