Pros: tent appears to be

Pros: tent appears to be well made and of good quality. Cons: tent out of box is not compatible with truck bed racks that have a center crossmember. The hinge impedes with crossmember. Design would have been better by adding another hinge to avoid one being in the middle or designing the hinge so it does not have to extend below the tent. With number of racks that have center crossmembers, I was surprised that CVT designed it this way. They could have spent a few more dollars and added another hinge and avoided one right in the middle. User will need to raise tent about 1 1/2” so hinge can clear crossmember. Due to overall height issues, I couldn’t do this, so I reached out to CVT to buy another hinge so I could move hinge and place one on each side of crossmember. When I contacted CVT I was told that they did not have any replacement hinges nor could they get one from their supplier or manufacturer due to import issues. I would expect a 5-star company to have replacement parts available for all components of the products they offer. You never know when something will fail or get damaged. To find out that you can’t get a simple hinge was very concerning. So, beware that you may not be able to get replacement parts for this tent.

I got this to use

I got this to use while camping with the lift gate open to let air flow and store things I want to keep dry. I tried to set it up when I first received it and was surprised by the poor build quality and materials used for the tent. The "bag" that it comes with for storage is basically a piece of fabric that you wrap the tent in with two lengths of cut up tent material to use as straps. There is a 0% chance you will ever get it back in this "bag". The tent itself feels more like a cheap Ozark Trail tent from Walmart. It takes about 20 minutes of trial and error to get it attached to the vehicle and staked down and is definitely a 2 person job. Overall the concept is awesome, but the execution is poor. I was expecting a much higher quality product for the price. I returned it after setting it up once. CVT also doesn't offer any return shipping, so it cost $40 in shipping just to get a partial refund.
