Outdated references & lackluster explanations

What sets Qbanks like UWORLD apart from other resources is that they provide explanations for each answer choice. The explanations outline why the wrong answers are wrong and how test takers may have been led astray, and why the right answers are most correct for the stem. Explanations like some of the ones I've seen that simply say "it is what it is" is not sufficient at our level. I noticed some of the references used for some questions were incredibly old. Old enough that the pubmed links were no longer available. I understand guidelines can change frequently, that's why you have a team to keep your Qbank material current at least within the last 5 years.

This review sucks!

I fully completed the entire northwest medical review program of online videos, read the paper packet material in its entirety, and completed every single question in the question bank including the ones I originally got incorrect. Still, the comlex had only 1 question on it that I knew the answer to due to the NWMR. I know the writers of the comlex are apparently retarded, but it would have been nice to have had an exam that covered the material I studied. Instead, I spent over 2 weeks going through the NWMR, which was time wasted that i could have spent on resources like uworld and truelearn.
