Freeze Dried food

Some think that freeze dried food is expensive but I disagree at you have to look at the shelf life as well. It will last from 10 to 30 years. You buy it once and put it away until an emergency does happen. Figure out a place to store it and buy a little bit as you can afford it. You don't have to buy it all at once. Make it a priority and eventually you will have what you need. Use a sticker or a felt pen and put the expiry date in large print where you can see it. Once a year go through what you have to see if any is going to expire and plan what you need to buy for the upcoming year. Ensure you have lots of water and change it out. Pour outside not down the drain so the sewage plant is not wasting energy processing clean water.

Great Alternative For Backcountry Travel

Great alternative for portable food options. I have only tasted one of them so far but it was quite good (hash browns with bacon & onions). The ration heater works well and is sized perfectly. These are very compact and don’t take up a lot of space.
