i am out in a lot of wet weather(pacific northwest) in dirt. gravely soil.... planting and un-planting...these paints are great for kneeling iand holding up thru climbing trees with rough scratchy bark... they are tough, yet not heavy in feel... i usually wear a pair of merino wool tights under them and they protect those; wet never "leaks" thru.... highly, highly recommend them... only thing i might add is a side pocket...there is always something that needs a pocket! thanks folks for a well-made garment! elisabet
