Over the past 3 years I have purchased multiple dry herb GPens and I want to give an all-around review of each one. First, if you just wanna get down to it, my hands down favorite is the dash+. The creators at GPen were smoking the dankest shit when they came up with this pen! Now to jump into the details, I’ll review each pen from smallest to largest and then provide some tips. GPen Dash The gpen dash is a smaller pen that is lightweight and great for on the go tokes. We typically use this pen during our daytime sessions, and we have found that the heat somehow makes this pen pack more of a punch in a shorter amount of time. So, if you are looking to get high in a short amount of time, maybe when the family is visiting and you’re trying to sneak off, this is an excellent choice. I have gone through 3 of these pens with this year being the first that I am not purchasing one. The first two pens were a different build and had issues with charging and battery life. The pen that I purchased last year is still good though, so I think the latest iteration of the dash has worked out those kinks with the connection and battery. GPen Dash+ This is the pen of all pens. The mecca. Honestly, last year we were considering hopping brands and looked around but couldn’t find anything that quite met the quality of GPen so we decided to purchase the Dash+. We have not been disappointed and purchased our second pen this year. The airflow is remarkable and this pen delivers the cleanest inhales imaginable. This pen is about average sized and clogs less than the other two. As mentioned, my partner and I have two of these and use them daily. The reason we purchased a second one was because the black one is easily lost in our dark sheets and we needed something brighter, also we just use this pen so much we needed a second one to use while the other pen charges. GPen Elite II The GPen Elite is a monster of a pen! I don’t really have too much good to say about this pen, so here are my gripes: - The pen overheats - The battery sucks - The inside chamber can easily be scratched up - Clogs more frequently - The airflow isn’t ergonomical, which leads to the user potentially blocking the airflow while they toke My verdict is to get the GPen Dash+ if you are looking for your everyday driver and are a moderate to heavy smoker. Get the smaller version (GPen Dash), if you are a light user or want something that is more concealed. Things I have learned along the way: - To unclog the heads, remove the plastic gasket, screen, coil, and mouthpiece and place them all in isopropyl alcohol for about 5-15 min. Once done, take them out to dry. Once dry, put them back together and place back onto the empty pen bottom. Run the highest setting for a smoke session to burn off any remaining liquid. - Buy MULTIPLE heads. I have about 4 for the dash pen and another 4 for the dash+. This helps to prevent you from missing out on a smoke session because you haven’t gotten around to cleaning. - Use dry preground weed to get the most out of the pen and weed. As always, the people at GPen are always kind and dope when you reach out. I'm looking forward to see what they come up with next!
