I am utterly appalled by my interaction with Globe hunters.
I was booked on a flight to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe for the 30th of March, when I called Air Zimbabwe to ask a question they explained that this flight only reached Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and will not continue. I called Globe hunters and they reassured me that this flight is going to Victoria Falls, and that I should keep calling Air Zimbabwe to confirm. Air Zimbabwe kept telling me there is no flight and Globe hunters kept telling me there is one. This went on for 2 hours, where I was calling back and forward. The people at Globe hunters did not take me seriously. Eventually I had to put my foot down and insist that someone from Globe Hunters call themselves and find out from Air Zimbabwe and only after my 4th call, did Globe Hunters call Air Zimbabwe themselves to confirm.
If I had proceeded with the flight, I would have been stuck - pregnant and alone in a Bulawayo airport – without accommodation or transport to Victoria Falls, over a Jewish Holiday.
I felt that the client service was appalling, it was irresponsibly handled and downright incompetent on Globe Hunters behalf to not check this earlier- it seemed like everyone put the responsibility at Air Zimbabwe’s feet, however, I bought my ticket through your website and therefore it is your responsibility.
To further make things worse I am now told that it is going to take 6-8 weeks to reimburse me for the money I paid for this ticket- which will cost me even more in credit card interest.
How can this be normal?
