Squirrel Hill

I found it to be very interesting, especially some of the "time-lapse" photos of areas that I was very familiar with in the late 30's-mid-50's. The background information on Mary S. Brown church and the surroundings was fascinating, since my Paternal ancestors belonged there and I attended as a child.

LIRR History Comes To Life

I often wondered why Jamaica for the LIRR main "hub". I found out that it did involve the local Indians which was news to me. Now when I hear "Change at Jamaica" announced I will feel as if I know the entire history of this station. I recommend this soft cover publication, with plenty of photos, to every LIRR rider.
