Antler (US)

Purchased this product due to the Clifton name. The smell was the most negative thing I can say about this little carry-on. I aired it out for several days. One other item is the handle having two buttons, which requires two hands. Not sure what that is about. But seems to be a sturdy little suitcase.

Attractive look. Wish opening was a little wider for ease of laptop placement. Great size for work travel fit my shoes, sweater, water bottle and laptop.

Love that it’s barely any weight. Very roomy bag. Just wish the handle lifted a little more to keep the attached bag snug.

The build quality is unremarkable. I was hoping for a more substantial case for the price. My real concern was the quality of the packaging. I ordered a full set of the Clifton model in taupe for my wife. I chose the small Clifton carry-on in black for myself. While my wife’s set arrived in an Antler box, it appears to have been opened to have the packing material removed as there were just bits and pieces of styrofoam and scraps of cardboard. On the other hand, my case was just in a box without any padding or bubble wrap. Just a box that was loosely taped. Presentation is paramount, since it demonstrates care and attention to detail. It was like having dinner at a Michelin restaurant served on paper plates with plastic cutlery!

We have taken one international trip with our new Antler luggage and found that they packed well, were sturdy and held up in transport. We used our medium sized cases and liked the zippered pockets and closable side for smaller items or packing cubes. The larger side held everything we needed it to for our trip and additional items we brought back. As expected scuffing occurred and shows up more on lighter colored luggage. Our one dislike of our new luggage is that the design of the zippers to close the case do not zip smoothly and can be difficult at times. It feels like the twist in the zipper design itself causes this difficulty.
