I am 52 years old and was looking for denim cutoff shorts that were age appropriate and not the like the Daisy Dukes that teenage girls wear. These are perfect. They fit well at the waist and in the seat, although I did notice that they stretched out a little as I wore them. Look great belted. They were too long for me as is, which was fine because I was able to cut them to the exact length I wanted (about 2 inches shorter) and then washed them to fray the edges.

like the jeans...seem lighter for summer
