Initially, I ordered the RS30 blade sharpener, knowing I would eventually add the tooth setter. I sharpened approximately 20 blades, telling myself this would be a game changer even without the setter, and it was. Because the blades cut so well, except for a few blades producing what I call “chatter marks” due to a tooth being out of set, I ordered the tooth setter, and I’m so glad I did. It was surprising to see how far out of set some teeth were. It takes a couple of minutes to set the teeth before sharpening the blade and the results produced rough cut lumber that almost appears planed.
