Seems to work as expected. Only discrepancy was in the instructions. If you actually turn off the machine as instructed while waiting for the stuff to do it’s thing, you’ll have to start over. Use the instructions from the Gaggia manual. Here’s the note from page 39: “ If the machine is switched off during the descaling cycle, next time the machine is switched on the cycle must be repeated from the beginning. ”

Adrian Gaggia Academia is the best machine I had. Good looking and easy to handle with good manual. I like the controls of water and coffee amounts, grind and programmable buttons for all brews and cup sizes. Expensive though and I would like larger water tank.

We have an older Jura that was used when we bought it (had been a staff machine at my bistro) and over ten years old. Have loved it. Decided to take that senior one to our other home and get a new one. We absolutely love it, the coffee is really hot and fresh, rich. We have tried every type, latte, white, espresso. Great product line and they are so durable. My hairdresser told me his Jura has done over a million cups. Love it! Great product.
