Love these shoes

I bought my first pair of Trickers 35 years ago and loved all the ones since then. But I am a bit disappointed by these. I have an identical pair in brown bought a few years ago. Size the same and also a 5. But these fit tight and the top of the elastic sides has significantly changed quality with a scratchy top. I hope the break in but are tight, previous experience tells me breaking them in takes years. The valet boxes brushes are certainly not the quality I was expecting. They lose a lot of hair even with light use. I have been very satisfied through the years and this is the first time I have a issue.
