After a bit over a week of wearing this watch, I'm very happy with the purchase. It has the simple design I was looking for as an everyday watch (24-hour, clear Arabic numerals, basic functionality). As other reviews online point out, the ticking can be loud if you put it down on a flat surface or wear it loose on your wrist, but I don't notice it if I wear it tighter against my wrist. Because of the warnings, I haven't kept the watch in my bedroom while sleeping, but I went camping with it and didn't notice the noise. Others have also mentioned how the second hand doesn't line up with the ticks, which on mine I find noticeable on about 2/3 of the face (from 12 to 8). Indiglo works nicely (except on the date) and the fabric strap is comfortable. I like the styling and contrasting colour of the second hand. I was surprised that the watch didn't come with instructions or at least a QR code. It's an easy enough watch to figure out or to search for the instructions online, but I felt this was a gap in my initial experience. There is a QR code on the box for the extended limited lifetime warranty, but it goes to a broken link. Overall, I'm very pleased with the Timex Expedition Scout.
