great! so much easier than sending in the entire rod. BTW, I was impatient and while I was pulling the tip section out of the tube, I managed to break it. duh. The way the bubble wrap is taped to the plastic rod tip sleeve as well as the shipping tube caused me to think that one could just pull it out in one piece. Alas, just be careful while unpacking it.

Too bad they are phasing this gloomis logo out.

New tip fits great. Replacement process was fast and easy, so glad to have my favorite rod back on the water with me.
