Simply Strings - simply amazing!!!

We had the most amazing experience at Simply Strings today! It was our first time to the store and we bought my daughter Edie her very first half size violin with the expert help of Imogen and Josh! Josh even did a personal serenade to Edie on the violin which was amazing! He is extremely talented and it was a great inspiration for her! Imogen was the most divine lady and spent time with us trying the violin, cello and viola to see what got right to Edie. We felt unhurried and totally supported! We settled on a beautiful violin! Edie could not be happier and has not stopped playing it since we got home! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŽป The whole experience was honestly wonderful, not to mention the INCREDIBLE city view and stunning store! Itโ€™s got a beautiful feel to it and you just want to spend time in there! I myself have even been inspired now to possibly start a learning to play cello journey!! As Imogen said, itโ€™s never too late! Canโ€™t recommend simply strings and the amazing staff enough! We will be back!๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜Š

A beautiful shop!

My first visit to the Simply for Strings premises. The staff were very helpful, friendly and knowledgable, and interested in our musical story. I look forward to future visits.

My Grandmother's Cello

My grandmother's cello came by steam ship with her from England in around 1900. She died in 1963 and the cello lived in our hall cupboard for years. Finally, with the sale of the family home it was time to pay the instrument attention and we took it to Simply for Strings for assessment. After a year of investigation, restoration, hand whittling and painstaking hole filling, Danny and Michael pronounced the cello complete. Over the journey we were kept updated with photos, research details and stories of those who were witness to the restoration. Our family cello, which was built by William Cross in Oxford, England in 1730 has just been returned sounding rich and glorious Applause to Michael for the Faure, Bach and exemplary service and Danny for his craftsmanship and attention to detail. Thank you.
