These ramps are the perfect size for my higher door-step, particularly as I'm getting older as well as my friends who can struggle with the one step. The slope is reasonably gentle for walking up, it's firm and stable and there's no movement. It's a good width too, and the sloped sides means there's less likelihood of a turned ankle or a trip. Now I've just got to save up and buy one for the back-door! I love that there's now much less risk of a trip or fall on my one step into and out of the house. I'd purchased a smaller ramp from a well-known hardware store, which has itself become a bit of a hazard due to its steepness and how narrow it is. That one sure was a waste of money.
