As a supply chain professional focused in direct, I was thrilled that direct procurement got the attention of ProcureCon (WBR) to put on a conference series for others like myself. This is a trending area in the supply chain world that is getting significant notice in professional organizations, SCM publications, articles, etc. There is a lot of opportunity in the direct space for practitioners alike to leverage experiences of others and come together to share best practices similar to success of the ProcureCon Indirect series. Great job to all those involved in the planning and topic setting for the kick-off of the direct series. I look forward to continuing to be a member of these events.

The ProcureCon-Direct Conference was well planned and structured, with interesting topics and excellent SME (Subject Matter Experts) speakers. The clientele, who attended the conference, commented about the quality of presentations and presenters. "Direct Procurement" has been absent from many Procurement Conferences. The major Industry emphasis, of late, has been on the "Indirect" side of procurement. This conference addressed mainly the "Direct" issues, but emphasized that many of the strategies for Direct and Indirect were very closely intertwined.
