It took a few play sessions to get used to the feel and the shape, but now that I have it sort of dialed in everything feels pretty good. Dinks in particular are great with this paddle. I still need to work on blocks as I’m still hitting dead spots sometimes. Overall I’m enjoying it!

I have done well in tournaments with the Owl PXE and look forward to playing with the Talon X1. The increased power will be even more of an advantage in the singles tournaments, but I am already getting great control like the PXE. Weights at 3/9 and 4/8 work wonders for the sweet spot, and Hesacore grip/end cap enhance hand speed. The longer Talon X1 grip is great for my two-handed backhand but feels fine at the net. I appreciate Owl Sport for bringing something truly unique and approved to the market, as opposed to all the cookie cutter paddles that come with all the guesswork about grit loss and gimmicky marketing variations of the same loud thing.
