Natural Pigments OLD

It is essential to have a true gesso ground on my panels as an egg tempera artist. I rarely have time to get out the double boiler and spend time making it from scratch. The Tempera Grounds from Natural Pigments saves me time and energy, and gets me painting faster. It’s also the perfect way for new tempera artists to get started without having to worry about learning to make it from scratch.

My first introduction to Natural Pigments was with their oil painting medium, oleogel - an unbelievable product both for its ease of use and performance, not to mention it’s non toxic ingredients. Recently I ventured out into switching my palette over to Rublev pigments - no regrets!! (Just wish I would have switched over sooner!) Each pigment is beautifully handcrafted and each carries its own unique properties, which makes working with them an exciting experience! I’m so grateful for the way George O'Hanlon and Tatiana continue to share unreservedly about their products. I know they have already given me so much insight and understanding into knowing my materials well - through webinars, YouTube videos, podcasts and articles - thank you for enabling me to really ‘own’ my materials and understand what it is that I am working with. It’s a privilege to be able to paint with pigment that has been created with such care and attention to authenticity.

Their oils are the best. Since Golden purchased Williamsburg, their lines have degraded slightly and the Rublev colors are a superlative replacement

I bought a muller and glass palette for grinding pigments. Also a set of earth pigments from Armenia, they were lovely and great to use. I love the lessons and lectures on their site. I use pigments for dyeing and ink making and these are excellent. They arrive beautifully packed and quickly! Thank you so much!!!
