The highest quality oil paint

I have exclusively used Rublev Oil Colours by Natural Pigments for the past 4-5 years. Since making the investment in their high quality oil paints, I have noticed a dramatic improvement on my painting’s richness in color and surface. I also know what each paint will do before adding it to the palette and panel, which is incredible. With each tube, I feel like I am using a tool, instead of just a color. I am painting much more confidently, and it certainly shows in the work.

Indispensable

When you first hold this tube you're struck by how heavy it is. It's the real thing. But let's go beyond that cool factor to why you need this color. As you tint your mixtures lighter with white, they go cold because white is actually a low chroma blue. To counteract that coldness you might add a yellow. Lead tin yellow dark is a warm yellow, semi-opaque, so especially if you're working with a lead white, it's just the hue to add to balance things out. Or if you just need a high value yellow, it works beautifully on its own. It has less tinting strength and less chroma than a cadmium so it's easier to work with. Rublev's lead tin yellow has lovely body and it dries fast because hey, it's real lead. Get it. You need it.

Best Gift I've Gotten in a Lo g Time.

My brother got me my first Rublev oil paints as a gift and they are wonderful. Definitely now a mainstay on my pallet.

Highest Grade and Expert Resource

I studied painting in Europe in a prestigious academy. The resource of Natural Pigments is known internationally. The quality of the ingredients is as good and at times superior to the products I found in world-renown art stores in Florence.
