Good Day, I hope you are well. My order was delivered earlier this week, unfortunately I work away, so I was looking forward to opening it when I got home today. I must say I am very disappointed with the quality of this product. Upon opening, the tissue paper it was wrapped in had sawdust inside. The double sided drawer only opens on one side and is too small for the chess pieces. The wood it is made from is NOT Walnut as stated in the product description, the wood is not finished to a high standard before being made into the box, it feels like pallet wood and then it's stained brown to imitate walnut. The resin coating on the top is very badly done and has many defects. The checkered inlay of the board doesn't even align correctly. The chess pieces themselves look like they have been painted by a 5 year old, they are scratched and a very poor quality paint has been used that is flaking off in places, some of the pieces protrude higher than the drawer so they prevent opening. I would not even sell this standard of quality for $50 nevermind the $350 I paid. This product was purchased as a birthday gift, it was chosen based on its pictures, description of being made from Walnut and a Luxury product. Unfortunately I cannot accept this quality and would be embarrassed to present it as a gift.

shipping was very slow. this is not a $200+ chess board. the back and sides are plastic laminate. they don't even match. it is not made from ebony. it has an ebony colored stain on a lighter wood. if it sold at ikea, it would sell for $40 max.

Don't order from the chess sets, one address is in new York and the return address says India. WARNING ⚠️ They sent me the wrong item. Return address is FAKE‼️

I ordered this set as a gift and when it came, I was disappointed that the pieces were not what was advertised. Most notably, the knight came without wings, a rather important feature of Pegasus so really it was just a horse. Same with Zeus. No lightening bolt, beard, or robe - just a rather nondescript man. Same with the queen and bishop but you get the idea. I reached out and they initially tried to say that because they are handcrafted pieces there might be some variations. I explained that they were completely different designs and pointed out the errors and they did agree. I should also note, the pieces also come with a lot more of a distressed look than what the photos indicate which I guess can be attributed to them being handmade but its very deceiving. They agreed to send new pieces. Great! Perfect! After some back and forth over a few days they said it was shipped. Waited a week and nothing so I reached out to which they responded that - nope, it was never shipped. They don't know when it will be shipped either. A few days short of a month since I purchased and I still don't have the set I paid for. I will update this review if the correct pieces ever arrive but at this point in the process, I can't help feeling like I have been scammed.
