The curved quillons on the

The curved quillons on the Guinegate Sword I bought were not symmetrical. If that was a manufacturing defect, it should have been caught and corrected. If it was bent or compressed in shipping and handling at your warehouse, it should have been corrected.

A very good looking piece

A very good looking piece and is well made without any modern cheating, its put together with the pieces they would have had during the twelfth century. However, it had two issues. The first is that because the fabric is double folded at the back there is no room for anything underneath, you might even give yourself a headache with an arming cap if you got a big head, let alone chain mail. Second is that (For mine) the buckle was around backwards, I'm not sure if this was on purpose but the buckle is indeed on backwards as so you have to twist the buckle strap to get it on proper without having it come undone right away. Otherwise it's good. It has some padding on the top of the helmet that can be tightened to keep your scalp from touching the metal on the roof and can keep your nose from being crushed by the helmet (Which is bound to happen so it would be best to wear some padding on your nose). It's not supper comfortable but it's a historical piece not a pleasure piece. (But you will be getting some real leather!) And I like it. The shipping was well handled, it came surrounded in air pads with a plastic bag over top it and a thick layer of anti rust gel. It will get to you safe and I am sure this is true for their other pieces as well.
