I have been kicking myself
I have been kicking myself ever since I used my MudMixer last week.
I had to raise the bed of my firebox for a fireplace renno.
Usually that would entail wheeling out my 3 bag at a time, old school, stand mixer. Then shoveling the concrete into buckets and schlepping them from outside to pour into my form.
This time I wheeled my MudMixer right up to the form, connected my hose to the inside tap in the utility room, cracked her up, and started chucking bags into the hopper.
Literally 20 mins from turning it on, I was screeding my pour.
Running my shop vac by the hopper made sure the dust didn’t cover the living room (or my lungs).
The consistency (after failing it in. A wee bit of a learning curve for the first time. ) was amazing.
After a quick rinse of the chute with the handy attached hose, I wheeled it right back outside for an easy clean up.
It took the same amount of time to clean the Mud Mixer as it did to clean my old mixer.
Seriously, a project that would have eaten up a couple hours and had me well coated in water and concrete dust, took 45 mins from taking the cover off the MudMixer to parking it back in the garage to dry off.
No significant dust in my home, or on myself, beautifully consistent pour, and so easy to use.
Total life changer with all the concrete work to do on my home renovation.
I won’t be loaning this one out for my buddies to use on their jobs, unless I’m there to protect my new favorite tool. Lol
