I bought this for pouring
I bought this for pouring my deck piers, and other jobs in the future. It keeps pumping out quality mud as long as you keep the hopper full. I made the mistake a couple of times in not standing next to the machine and keeping the hopper full. I thought I could cut some rebar, grab more bags of sakcrete from the trailer, or other tasks while it was mixing. Similar to what I would do with a conventional drum mixer. THAT WAS A MISTAKE. It chews through the bags in the hopper before you know it. You need to stage EVERYTHING before you turn the machine on. Then your whole job is feeding bags into the machine and moving it as needed.
The FORWARD/REVERSE (On/Off) switch can not me emphasised enough in pouring piers. I can click the button on for a couple seconds, get a little mud dropped in the pier, then smooth it out. If I need a little more, hit that button for another couple seconds, then smooth that out. I can top off a pier perfectly, with no waste, before moving to the next one.
