I asked to see if I could get a lighter buttpad weight and MDT sent me one next day delivery!

The only reason it’s not getting a 5 star review is the lack of instruction. It comes very secure in he box, fits the action very well. However with the new longer action screws there was a washer I didn’t know where it went. I scratched my head and finally figured out where it went. But once it was all together I love it! About to shoot it this coming weekend.

The chassis I received has improved my groups from vertical stringing with a Ruger American to a consistent cluster. I haven’t had time to play with reloads yet. But the fit for me is excellent. I had to modify the AICS magazine for the 6.5 Grendel and build a spacer with a new follower. There’s 6mmBR magazines available but they are currently on back order. The only real complaint I have is it needs a quick release sling swivel hole on both sides of the forend. At first I was skeptical of the pistol grip but after using it with the machined thumb shelves. I have really warmed up to it and kinda want one for my RPR. It’s not to vertical but seems to be a decent angle for different shooting positions. The other small complaint is there’s not enough bag room on the toe of the butt stock to ride a rear bag. But it’s easy to hook your hand around for field shooting off of round bales of hay and pickup hoods when you encounter the long range coyotes. I kinda feel like my review is inadequate because I haven’t put enough rounds through it yet. I’ve only shot fourty or so rounds through it. But so far I’d definitely recommend it.

Cant give an honest review on the oryx chassis even though I think I'm gonna like it because I have ordered it and it hasn't come yet . Cancelled my order thru optics planet and they kept putting me off on a delivery time and ordered it thru oryx and still dont have a clue when I might receive it . So I did 3 stars

The mag feeds but has issues sometimes of jamming the bullet nose into the front of the mag rather that pushing them up enough. I am going to try to modify it to feed better. Spring needs to be stronger. I have an ACIS factory mag that does not jam ever.
