The product is no different from a new one and well packed. It took some trials and errors to get to the similar flavor I got from my popcorn popper - since I now get a longer controllable drying stage, the process is more controllable generally and easier for me to decide when to pull the beans out. That said, I found it a bit hard to control the yellowing stage and ROR and I was busy adjusting the fan and heat (probably adjusted it too often than necessary). Also for super floral beans, I found the floral scents to be better preserved when shortening the roasting time (i.e., better on my popcorn popper somehow). SR540 would give me a more rounded and milder taste than the sharper / brighter taste on the popcorn popper (which in the summer hot weather would have 1st crack kicking in before 3min...). The one thing I found that could be better is that the fatter chamber caused some beans sitting on the outskirt of the chamber and not being agitated enough during the drying stage and the early yellowing stage. They finally would even out getting into 1st crack.
