Item received damaged. Was not able to open the box within the allotted 24hrs as was keeping the item safely stored whilst painting was taking place in the area where it was to be located (after opening and assembly). The offer of the purchase of a new item at a discount was in no way reasonable compensation for the damage; so no recompense for either flaws in the packaging, or lack of care in the handling and delivery. Leaves a sour taste for any potential future purchase with HOL.

Terrible communication and service

Ordered an item that stated in your home in one to two weeks. Three weeks with no contact, I follow up. Item is due in next week. A week goes by without any update. Contact again. Not in, not going to be in until after Xmas. Item eventually arrives weeks past the expected date, with no updates unless contacted. All for an item available next day from other shops.

Was advised ‘the latest possible date of delivery is 14-01-2026 based on the estimated lead time advertised. ’ Ordered for Christmas and was not advised this when checking out. However items still not dispatched, no communication, no updates and unsure if it will ever arrive…
