I love this product. The smell, the technique, the approach to haircare. I like how my hair looks and feels afterward - more volume and definition. It can air dry and hold waves from any heatless curling method. One caveat though. . . it doesn't remove hair product very well. Dry shampoo and hair texturizing powder don't fully wash out of my hair, which isn't the worst thing, it helps my hair have more hold and character, but eventually I will need a clean slate. I've found, sadly, despite stylists claims that I will need to wash my hair less, New Wash hasn't lived up to this claim. Maybe my scalp is less irritated, but I still need to wash my hair every two days. After about a week, New Wash is no longer enough and I need to use a regular shampoo and conditioner to remove buildup. I know there are many other complimentary Hairstory products that would probably help these issues, or maybe even washing twice. . . however New Wash was already a stretch for me financially and I can't justify having to use double the amount or buy a pre-wash product just to avoid shampoo. So, heartbreakingly, once I am done my first container of New Wash, I will have to seek out a dupe or go back to washing my hair like I used to.
