GREATS

These are probably the best sneakers I've owned - fashion forward but not contrived. The silhouette is perfect from every angle... top, front, side, all look equally good. Clearly a lot of attention to detail and overall quality; I typically have a couple specific issues with sneakers, and both have been addressed here. One, on most sneakers the vamp/tongue comes up too high - it looks fine on tall skinny models but on regular people it makes the legs look stumpy - but in these sneakers the front is a little bit lower to flatter the ankle and make the leg look long. Second, most sneakers have a sole that's either too thin (which makes them uncomfortable) or too thick (which makes them look like kids shoes) - but in these sneakers it's just the right height, both comfortable and stylish. Finally, I've found them true to size - I am a EU 36/US 6 in most shoes except those super tight European shoes where I am a 37; I got a 6 in Greats and they fit perfect.
