Dear Globber Team,
I’m writing to raise a safety concern about a new Globber scooter I purchased for my son as a birthday gift. Today was his first time using it, and unfortunately, while riding down our street (a slight hill), the brake did not work at all. He lost control and had to throw himself to the side to avoid entering a busy main road at the bottom of the hill. He ended up with scrapes and bruises, and it could have been far more serious.
This was incredibly upsetting, especially as the scooter is brand new and was chosen based on positive reviews. We’ve never had any issues with his previous Micro scooter, which he recently outgrew, so this experience was surprising and concerning.
Could you please advise:
Is this a known issue or possible manufacturing defect?
Are there any recalls or brake-related reports for this model?
What are the next steps to get this resolved?
I’m happy to provide the model number, photos, or any further information you may need. My priority is ensuring my son has a scooter that’s safe and reliable.
Thank you for your attention—I look forward to your response.
Best regards,
Dr Joanne McNicoll
