Tortuga

Don't think I can travel anymore without my Tortuga backpack. It is a solid pack and it is extremely comfortable to wear.

This is an excellent backpack. I wanted to travel light and ended up using this to hostel hop for 3 weeks in 9 different cities. I quickly became an expert in figuring out how to stuff everything inside this, and can conclude that it is surprisingly large. I had read some complaints about the chest straps, but they didn't bother me whatsoever. The pack straps always made it comfortable (thought I did only have a 12 lb load). The only complain I have is that one of the laptop pocket zippers split the zipper consistently and must have some sort of manufacturing defect that they clearly didn't test. If I was using this heavily with laptop, I would have returned the backpack. The other laptop zipper worked just fine, so I was still able to make use of the laptop zipper. I have never used a suit-case style opening backpack before, but this has really shown me the light, and I will plan on using this in the future for light travel.

Such a great bag! The clamshell design makes finding everything quick and easy.

I bought the Tortuga backpack for a week long trip where I was traveling between Germany, Czech Republic, and Austria from USA. This backpack is well made, and fit in even the smallest airplane overhead compartment. I would recommend this to anyone trying to fly without checking luggage.

I have yet to use it on an actual travel trip but I have packed it up and taken a trip around the house and I like it very much. I can fit tons of stuff in there the side pockets are great. I can't wait to try it out in the real world. Thank you Fred & Jeremy.
