Customer service is awful, products good

I bought the Ergobaby Metro+ Deluxe and was supposed to get the matching carry bag at the same time but the bag was out of stock. Two days later it was back, so I placed a second order — and because the orders were separate, I missed out on the free shipping I would’ve gotten if they'd stocked their products properly. I reached out to customer service to explain — not demanding anything, just hoping they’d see the obvious and maybe waive the shipping fee. Instead, I got what honestly felt like AI-generated responses. Cold, copy-paste policy quotes that didn’t actually respond to what I was saying. I escalated to a supervisor and got the same robotic answers. No one actually listened. No one cared. The irony is that I really liked the product. I was genuinely excited and would’ve recommended it to other parents. But the way they handled this — like I was talking to a script, not a person — ruined it. No empathy, no effort, no human connection at all. For a brand that’s all about supporting parents and families, the lack of care is shocking. The product is good, but that doesn’t matter much when the people behind it treat you like you’re nothing once they’ve made the sale.

Our new daily stroller for our newborn

After using a full size stroller with our first child and not being very happy with having to lug its heft around and having it take up all the trunk space in our car, we found ourselves leaving it behind most of the time. For our second child I did some extensive market research and chose the Metro 3 because it had a combination of features that I couldn't find on any other competitor stroller. It has a full recline, bassinet mode, a HUGE ventilation window (a must in our warm climate) that are easy to open and close with magnets, good padding, and it folds down quite flat so it doesn't take up too much space in the car, and it's very lightweight. The carry handle doesn't extend which is a plus as it wouldn't be practical to shoulder carry with a toddler in the other hand. The sun shade is great. It rolls amazingly, on a flat surface you can drive it with a single finger, the thing is weightless compared to our full size. Sure the wheels are not as big and the ride is not as dampened with full size suspension, but they've mitigated the bumpiness of the ride by making the wheelbase narrower, which also increases maneuverability. The fold and unfold mechanism that others complain about not being able to do with one hand, first of all you have to study the mechanism for a minute or two and understand the motion it needs to do to swing into place. Second of all, it's tight yes, but the alternative would be that it's loose, which is not good for longevity. I didn't take the joints apart but their housing is plastic which will eventually wear in. I prefer that it starts out as a tight fit giving us more years of use before it's wobbling all over the place, which I hope it never does of course. We just received the carry bag and haven't tested it yet, but it's a backpack style so it should free up our hands from having to roll the stroller around when the kid wants to eventually get up and run around. Hope this was informative!
