This is my third Raptor
This is my third Raptor 14, so I have the opportunity to compare across generations.
The first thing I noticed was that the backpack seems larger, has more angular shapes, and is heavier than previous generations.
The individual compartments of the backpack have also been significantly redesigned, which I'm still getting used to, but I'm gradually getting a system in where and how to store my things, which previously had a clear place.
The backpack fits on my back even better than previous models.
The LidLock is positioned one compartment lower, so the upper compartment remains accessible even when a helmet is attached to the backpack, which is great.
However, the accessibility to the bike tool compartment is worse, precisely because of the more angular shapes, so the zipper gets stuck on turns.
The sunglasses pocket is no longer padded.
The Hydraulics Reservoir has been redesigned again and seems to be better than all the previous ones.
The straps are still missing clips, so they blow behind me when I ride faster. That's why I used clips from the previous generation from about 10 years ago.
Backpack colors are a subjective thing, but in recent years I find backpacks boring - Osprey used more interesting colors in the past.
I've been using the backpack for about a month on my bike and while hiking.
So far I'm satisfied with it.
The price is quite high, but the backpack seems to be of good quality and it also comes with a great All Mighty Guarantee, which I've used several times in the past, so I know it's not just marketing BS, but real support.
