Was dealing with a 50 year old converted garage floor with a lot of exposed aggregate. Do all the "no fun" prep steps and you will get the results. For me, the first two coats of solvent based sealer had little to no affect. All the information says "two thin coats of sealer" but I ended up doing four thin coats and the colors finally popped and the finish looked uniform.
