I love these socks, at first. They are comfy and they come is super cool colors. However, I’ve bought a few pairs a couple months ago and the bottom of the socks are already wearing really thin, with one sock having a small hole. I’m disappointed that they don’t last long, as I was a big fan when I first got the socks.

In today's world where the expectations around speed of shipping are so high I would definitely not recommend using Goat if you can avoid it.

I was (and still am) a huge fan of my normal wool runners, but I don't know how they messed up so badly on these ones. If your feet produce any amount of moisture whatsoever, it WILL stay trapped in the toes of these shoes indefinitely. I bought these for a trip where I planned to be walking a lot every day in temps in the 40s and 50s, and on that trip it became a regular occurrence that I would take them off and still find the toes exactly as damp the following morning. It became a rare day that I wouldn't need to leave them on a vent or fire up the hair dryer for a few minutes after taking them off. No shoe pair branded as a daily driver is worth anywhere near that effort, if you ask me. They're predictably comfortable and I'm sure they do a great job of repelling external moisture (if the internal moisture situation is any indication) but there's really no way that I can leave these a good review. Hard avoid.

These shoes are super comfortable and warm. Perfect for the winter in Chicago — as long as it’s dry. I have worn them in 20-25F weather and gotten snow flakes on the wool. They stay dry, but that is expected below freezing. However. They are not the water resistant quality I expected above freezing. I sprinkled water on them after washing my hands. Soaked through immediately. Did not bead up but darkened the wool and made my socks wet. Immediately. This leads me to not trust them in mild drizzly weather as advertised for the mizzles. I am going to keep them for dry conditions. They are great shoes. I went online to leave a review and was initially disappointed that Allbirds does not allow you to leave a review unless solicited by them (not all customers get to!). This is how they control reviews. I complained about this and the water resistance and they sent me a replacement pair. The customer service for the company is great, but can you trust the reviews online? Especially if they don’t allow everyone to review the product. This review opportunity only came a month after the second pair I received. Likely due to my complaint. To sum up, these are nice shoes. Maybe save yourself $20 and buy the originals. Also, take all the reviews with a grain of salt. The sample size is not all inclusive.
