Sloyd Bushcraft Knife
I am a repeat customer, having bought 4 blades or knives so far. Each knife quickly becomes a favourite: they are all surgically sharp, well made, and perform beautifully. The sloyd knife has lived up to my expectations and will supplant my Mora 106 or 120 as my go to carving knife. I appreciate the size of the blade and the shape of the handle when carving. The knife works well in removing bulk wood or in taking care of the delicate spots where bowl meets handle on a spoon and it's difficult to remove the little tag where the wood grain goes both directions. The steel also holds a great edge and is easily maintained with proper use and care. And, as an additional review, I bought a general carver blade a purchase ago, just because I was paying the shipping. I wasn't sure that I would like the shape of the blade, but after finally putting a handle on it based on the sloyd knife design, it too has become an important part of my tool kit. The blade design allows for a slicing/skewing cut that leaves a beautiful finish on woods like maple and cherry. The blade is also capable of more robust cuts as well.
