Best Snowboard Bag with minor drawbacks on road trips
I‘ve used the bag for a road trip through Georgia, which meant both air travel and car / bus transfers were involved. There‘s a lot to love about this bag, especially the ability to completely roll it up came in handy the week we stayed at a hut with limited storage room available.
For air travel i see no real improvement areas apart from maybe straps to fix down the snowboards. So far I also did not encounter any quality issues. I do recommend getting it in black as it will inevitably get dirty at some point when flying.
On the road trip, where frequent packing and unpacking was required I encountered some minor drawbacks. For one there is no separate pocket accessible from the outside or a quick access zipper. Would have been handy especially since the rolling up feature makes quickly opening/closing the bag a bit more cumbersome.
Additionally, the bag narrows (i.e. the base is wider than the top cover). Which seems like an odd design choice without any real benefit (it does not really save space in the car) yet it made for always having to really cramp the stuff together or even repacking to close the zipper.
